By placing an order with CEW Studio, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.
Custom & Personalized Items:
All custom and personalized items are final sale.
In accordance with U.S. consumer protection guidelines and North Carolina contract law, custom-made products created to a buyer’s specifications are not eligible for return or refund, except in cases of defect or error on our part.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Items engraved or customized with names, initials, dates, logos, or custom artwork
- Items produced based on customer-approved proofs or instructions
- Requests involving design, layout, or material selections chosen by the customer
CEW Studio is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer at checkout.
Non-Personalized / Ready-to-Ship Items:
Returns for non-personalized, ready-to-ship items are accepted under the following conditions:
- Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of confirmed delivery
- Items must be unused, unaltered, and in original condition
- Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
Refunds will be issued only after the returned item is received and inspected.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
To initiate a claim, please provide:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the item and packaging
Once verified, CEW Studio will, at its discretion:
- Replace the item
- Repair the item
- Issue a refund if replacement is not feasible
This remedy is consistent with applicable provisions of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) as adopted in North Carolina.
Replacements
Replacements are offered only when:
- The item was damaged in transit
- There was a production or fulfillment error by CEW Studio
Replacements are not provided for:
- Customer errors in submitted personalization details
- Normal variations in wood grain, color, texture, or material characteristics
- Minor cosmetic variations inherent in the materials or customization process
Cancellations
- Non-custom orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase, provided the item has not shipped.
- Custom or personalized orders cannot be canceled once production has begun.
Material Variations Disclaimer:
Many of our products are created using materials such as wood, bamboo, leatherette, acrylic, slate, stone, metal, and other manufactured or natural substrates. Variations in grain, color, texture, pattern, finish, density, or overall appearance are normal and may occur from one item to another.
- Customization processes may produce slight variations in appearance depending on the material, coating, color, texture, grain pattern, and manufacturing characteristics of the item being customized. Such variations are normal and are not considered defects.
Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- CEW Studio’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the product
- CEW Studio is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use or misuse
Governing Law:
This policy and all transactions with CEW Studio shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
